FAQ’s
Like other chiropractors, we hear many questions from new and current chiropractic patients. Here are some of the most common questions and answers that we hear at our Melbourne Chiropractic clinic.
What problems may Chiropractic help with?
Chiropractic helps correct any misalignments (or subluxations) to allow your body to work better. Typically, the most common problems Melbourne Chiropractors see are back pain, neck pain, back stiffness, headaches, migraines, and posture problems. We find that more people are coming in for general back checks and spinal assessments..
How often will I need to come?
This will vary with each person, depending on how long you have had the problem, your previous health history, any trauma or accidents and many other factors. After the chiropractor has done an assessment to see if Chiropractic may be able to help you, he will be able to tell you how frequently you need to have care. It may be starting with 2 or 3 visits a week initially, or less frequently depending on the above factors.
Will my health fund cover Chiropractic?
As a Melbourne Chiropractor, Dr Zukerman is covered by all major health funds, but you will need to check with your health fund for your level of cover. If your health fund says we are not a “First Choice” provider, then please advise us, as we will explain and assist you here.
Is Chiropractic safe?
Chiropractic care is generally considered safe but occasionally it may cause adverse reactions in some people.
Chiropractic has been around since 1895 and there are numerous scientific studies demonstrating the efficacy of chiropractic care. Many millions of people universally, have and continue to receive the benefits of chiropractic care.
I do not like the “cracking” noise, what other techniques can you do?
Chiropractic has a diversity of different techniques and Dr Zukerman is trained in many of these. We use gentle adjustments and we can avoid the “cracking noise.” We cater for your individual needs and have gentle methods for your comfort.
